Brynja Ingedottir and Tiny Jaarsma attended an inspiring conference in Odense. We were both in a workshop on ‘questionnaires in nursing research’ in which we discussed (amongst others) challenges in instrument development, translation, psychometric evaluation and missing items. We learned a lot about new methods and  challenges that we all face in using questionnaires.

Tiny also presented on international networks and Brynja presented with a colleague from LiU on knowledge expectations in surgical patients. One of the keynote speakers was Denise Polit, who co-authored ‘Nursing Research’. We both stalked her to get a picture! The talk she gave was very inspiring and included new approaches to data-management, a call for mixed methods and call for more equal sampling in nursing research (and not oversample women).  All in all a great conference!
